On the eve of the elections, given the fact that Ultra-Orthodox parties continued to exclude women from their ranks, Nivcharot activists decided to take action and launched a massive campaign entitled Haredi Women Demand Justice. About 70,000 flyers were distributed in ultra-Orthodox cities and neighborhoods. The campaign continues on social media and it has hundreds of thousands of views.
Haredi women's demand for representation reached Shas party leaders who came out with promises that after the elections, a Shas women's organization would be established. Will they keep their promise, or will the idea be shelved until the next election? Only time will tell.
